After installation MVHR systems need to be commissioned to balance the flow rates to meet the specification of the MVHR system design.
Commissioning combines fan speed adjustment on the MVHR unit with altering the flow rate through the air valves. When you get the combination right, you get the best possible level of airflow, with the least noise and the greatest efficiency.
An unbalanced system can significantly impact on the performance of your ventilation system, leading to the unit working excessively which in turn can lead to unnecessary wear on your unit and reduce the life span of your system.
Commissioning requires specialist equipment. We use a Vane Anemometer for accurate measurements.
In addition to our standard MVHR ventilation commissioning services, we also offer
• System Validation – Checking performance of a ventilation system
• AHU (air handling unit) & Fan Testing and Performance Checking
• Performance, Condition and Layout Surveys & Reports.
• Commissioning of general ventilation systems
Our engineers are BPEC Domestic Ventilation Certified to meet the requirements of the Approved Document to Part F of the Building Regulations 2010.
